Welcome to the Woodstock Bible Church website. If you are looking for a church in the McHenry County area of Northern Illinois we hope our site will help you.
We have included information about service times, our ministries, as well as who we are and what we believe. More than anything we would count it a privilege to minister to you personally.
If you are ever in the Woodstock area we invite you to worship with us. If you live in town, come and see us some Sunday. You are always welcome at Woodstock Bible Church.

Woodstock Bible Church is looking at itself in the mirror to determine if it is transforming its local community and itself through the power of God. But how do we know if what we are doing is truly effective? What and where can Woodstock Bible Church do better? Woodstock Bible Church is partnering with TAG using their Transforming Church roadmap.
In January’s newsletter, we provided information about the Transforming Church Index, TCI, and how it’s used as part of the transforming church roadmap. To recall, it’s the measurement gage in which we understand what our strengths and weaknesses are. It’s very important that we “protect” those areas that we do well and look for God’s direction in the areas where we as a church can improve on His calling for us to “transform lives.”
The first phase of the Transforming Church Process was to have the WBC attendees take the TCI survey. The TCI was conducted from Feb 2 to Mar 2 and thanks to you, our participation level was unprecedented, setting a new benchmark high of 80% for TAG. This participation level provided the TAG leadership team the necessary information towards the next journey in the ASSESSMENT phase.
We have now moved into the VISIONING phase. This is the 3rd phase where the TAG leadership team will use the TCI and Focused Group results, and begin to strategize a plan to “protect” what’s good and “improve” where opportunities exist.
On May 2-3, 2008, twenty-six people from Woodstock Bible Church participated in a one and a half day Strategic Planning Retreat. We were introduced to what a "strategic planning process" involved. We discovered and discussed numerous topics including: our code, target audience, mission statement, and assessment debriefing. We spent time drafting strategic objectives and left eager for the next steps.
